Floral Kimono; A Closet Staple

I admit it. I own about 5 kimonos, most of them in floral patterns. I’ve been collecting them for the last few years and they are one of my favorite closet staples that never seems to go out of style. The lovely thing about kimonos is you can wear them all year long. For warmer months I pair them with shorts, jeans and sandals or slides. In the colder months I wear them with a ribbed turtleneck sweater, skinny jeans and boots. It’s great to mix up the look with a fun belt such as this vintage leather obi-wrap style, or a belt in the same shade as your shoes and bag to balance out your look. You can also wear kimonos open with a chic camisole or tank. This gorgeous kimono is from etsy (of course because I LOVE etsy!). I’m just over the moon with the blue hydrangea flower print! The silver boots are from Topshop and will go with many spring outfits (I’ll also rock these in the fall and winter, because they are amazing and make me seriously happy) The high-waisted, cropped skinny jeans are Citizens of Humanity. I love this brand because it fits a more…ahem, “ample behind” than most other brands. I finished off this look with silver jewelry, including earrings I designed, and my white Saint Laurent “Blogger bag.” Gotta love that name! xo Kelsey
