Jean jackets are such a huge style maker for 2017 and they are so easy to layer, dress up, or wear casually all year long. As opposed to years past, this year’s popular style of jean jackets have included fun design elements including embellishments like pearls, embroidery, and patches. Back in June I posted my other adorable jean jacket that features embroidered rose patches. I didn’t stop there with that jacket, and found myself drooling yet again over this pearl embellished style. It features a longer bodice that my other jean jacket with a more deconstructed fabrication, which toughens up the feminine pearls and rhinestones.
Every time I’ve worn this jean jacket out on the town I get stopped and asked, “OMG! Is that THE jean jacket from Pinterest?!” No, that one is high-end designer, probably Givenchy or Balmain, or something that costs waaaaaay too much to even consider. Lucky for me, I was able to snag this knock-off version on Asos for less than $200. Of course it sold out the day after I bought it. Popular items can go very fast on Asos, something I’ve learned quickly. That is why, a few times each week, I check the Asos app for their newest arrivals. In my last blog post I wore a Missguided lace kimono that also sold out in a day. Sadly, this jacket had the same fate. Hopefully the designer River Island will produce a some more of these so people can get their hands on this gorgeous jacket. For now, I’ll just feel lucky that I have it in my collection. It’s going to be a great layering item to wear all year long. Another reason why I didn’t hesitate to click and buy as soon as I laid my eyes on it. xo -Kelsey
